College students

MPC welcomes students to worship with us each Sunday morning at 11:00, and to join us for learning, fellowship, and service opportunities.  Over the years, MPC has included UM students in the church's music program, serving in roles that include choir director, accompanist, and choir.  While the pandemic played a major role in limiting student involvement, we have recommitted to bringing students back into our music program at Montevallo Presbyterian.

Leading up to the pandemic, MPC worked with other local churches to help feed college students in need of meals. Open Table served as a free weekly lunch for students, which usually met each Thursday during the school year from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. Because of the pandemic, Open Table has not been meeting.  In the meantime, we are working with other local churches and organizations to determine the path forward, and we are also taking into consideration what the CDC suggests regarding gatherings.  For more info on this, check out the UM Open Table Facebook page! MPC also donates non-perishable food items to the UM Campus Food Pantry for students in need.
