Living river - A Retreat on the Cahaba

Living River, the Camp and Conference Center for the Presbytery of Sheppards and Lapsley, officially opened in April 2015. Situated on 440 acres on the Cahaba River, the property includes natural wetlands, wooded ridges, and stands of ancient hardwood timber and tall pines. It also operates a year-round environmental education program through its Cahaba Environmental Center at Living River.
As the Presbyterian (USA) church geographically closest to the camp, Montevallo Presbyterian Church has been very much part of this project since its inception. It supports Living River with financial gifts through our church's mission giving, as well as volunteer efforts.
