What to Expect

Worship Service

Our worship service begins at 11:00 AM each Sunday and typically lasts about an hour. Before the service, you’ll receive a bulletin with the order of service and announcements. (You can see a sample here.)

Our traditional and engaging worship services include prayers, songs, silence, readings from Scripture, sermon and sacraments. You are invited to participate in as much or as little in the service as you like.

We celebrate the Lord's Supper every Sunday. All are welcome at the table.

Children and Worship

Child care is offered for infants through second graders by our skilled nursery staff, beginning at 9:45 during the school year and 10:15 during the summer.

Children of all ages are always welcome in our worship services. We take delight in the sounds of babbling babies! Worship bags with activity pages and crayons are available as you enter the sanctuary.

During worship, kids are invited forward for a special message during Children’s Time; they may then depart with our nursery staff or stay in worship for the rest of the service.

We serve fair trade coffee, juice and light refreshments in the fellowship area each Sunday morning starting at 10:30.

We welcome you to this informal time to meet visitors and catch up with friends.

What to Wear

There is no dress code at MPC! We welcome you to dress comfortably and be yourself. You’ll find some folks in jeans and shorts and others in dresses or ties.

No matter how you are dressed, you will be welcome.

If you drive to church, parking is available in the lot behind the church and along Shelby Street. There are designated handicap parking spots on Alabama Street, providing access to the ramp entrance to the church.

If you bike to church, you’ll find our bike rack in the parking lot behind the church.
