Youth Choir

The newest musical group in our church is the Youth Choir. It was formed in 2008 to provide opportunities for youth to participate actively in church worship. In December 2009, the group proudly presented its first Christmas musical, Christmas Hang-Ups, directed by Flo Peters.

The Youth Choir performs monthly and during the holiday seasons.

Youth between the ages of seven and seventeen are welcome to join the choir as they worship with the congregation. Choir practice is every other Wednesday evening, 6:00-7:00 p.m. Call the church office (205-665-7360) for information.

Through music, youth learn of God's greatness and goodness. By participating in other choir activities, they learn to work together and gain confidence in their abilities.

Some of the activities scheduled for the choir this year include creating a stained glass window, painting pictures for the classrooms in the newly renovated educational building, serving as community summer camp counselors, enjoying lake cookouts, and learning basic digital photography.
