Montevallo Campus Ministry Association

The Montevallo Campus Ministry Association is an ecumenical association of campus ministers serving Universiy of Montevallo students.

Each year during the week before Thanksgiving, the MCMA sponsors a traditional Thanksgiving dinner for international students at the Forbes House. The tradition has become so well established that upperclassmen look forward to the announcement of the date for the dinner and tell freshmen to anticipate it.

The MCMA also sponsors speakers who address issues related to Christian life. In September, 2006, the association sponsored Dr. Susan Pace Hamill's visit to campus. Dr. Hamill, a Professor at the University of Alabama Law School, presented an address on "Constitution and Tax Reform: An Important Issue for the Church in Alabama."

Other activities sponsored by the MCMA include hosting a luncheon for Resident Assistants each semester and providing exam time snack bags for students.
